Paint panels

We make Artist’s painting panels. A great option if you need the resistance a standard canvas cannot provide. Our panels are made from a choice of Birch plywood or Hardboard (for smoother panels).  Our cradles are made from quality Cabinet Grade,13 ply, Baltic Birch. We have a choice of 2 facing materials, 1/8” Baltic birch ply available in sizes up to 60x60 and 1/4” Hardboard for very smooth panels, these are available up to 48x96.

We have built custom panels as large as 5'x9' and 6'x6' We can build panels which are larger than standard with a filled seam.

*We can do unseamed panels in MDF up to 60x96 and 48x120. Added fee for materials due to size and material delivery costs.

** We Strongly recommend that you Gesso the all panels before use. 

Facing Options Pros and Cons

Birch Pros: Light weight, great painting surface, available in a 5x5 *Contact us for princing

Birch Cons: Birch has plugs, not perfectly smooth, more costly, sizes are 1/4” undersized for trimming. Not available over 60”.

MDF Pros: Very smooth surface, great painting surface, less expensive, cut to ordered size. Available up to 96” long

MDF Cons: Heavier weight.
